Application tip 2
Cutting in
Also known as edging, it’s worth noting that a worn-in brush is more controllable than a brand new one for this application.
- If you don’t have an appropriate worn-in bush, a new Hamilton Sash Brush is recommended
- Whichever brush you choose, use it in a spinning motion to ensure maximum coverage
- When edging, start just below where you want the edge to be and slowly work the paint up to the required line.
- If the edge isn’t quite straight, simply go over this area again to even it out
- And if you do go onto the finished ceiling with the wall paint, wait until it’s dried and then do the same process with the ceiling paint, to even up the line.
