Application tip 4
Painting doors and windows
It’s important to paint doors and windows early in the day to make sure
you can close them in the evening:
New wood
- Apply an
even coat of primer and work it well into the grain of the
wood
- Allow to dry. Rub down with fine sandpaper,
then wipe down with a clean cloth to remove any
dust
- Next, choose a suitable undercoat
- Following the grain of the wood, apply evenly
using smooth wrist actions
- Allow to dry. If it
requires a second coat of paint, rub the first down with fine
sandpaper, wipe down to remove any dust and then repeat the
process
