Preparation tip 1
Removing flaky paint
- Start with a Hamilton Wire Brush and Stripping Knife
- Finish using an orbital sander (don’t remove flaky paint by sanding, a sander is a ‘finishing’ tool)
- If stripping back to wood, use a Hamilton Heavy Duty Scraper to ensure removal of primer
- For awkward areas and profiles, use paint stripper and steel wool for finishing
