Preparation tip 3
Stripping back to bare wood
- Start with a non-toxic paint and varnish remover or non-toxic chemical stripper
- Leave for the specified time
- Next remove the excess using a Triangular Shavehook (this allows you to get into tight corners)
- Then switch to a high quality Hamilton Scraper with a semi-flexible blade to ensure snag-free stripping and to prevent damaging the surface
- We can recommend the Hamilton Heavy Duty Stripper, Triangular Shavehook and Scraper to remove the primer
